Plant Manager – Meats / Protein
Family-owned and operated New England meat manufacturer, specializing in sausage, marinated meats, and specialty products sold through regional retail and food channels. The company operates a USDA and SQF-Certified Facility with production on 1st shift Monday–Friday and 1 sanitation shift.
Responsibilities
Lead all plant operations, including Production, Quality, Food Safety, Maintenance, and labor performance. 50 employees, 3 managers, 6 supervisors.
Improve throughput, reduce waste, control costs, and drive accountability across departments. Ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, SQF, GMP, traceability, labeling, audit readiness, and recall preparedness.
Partner with leadership to strengthen systems, improve performance, and support growth.
50-hour workweek. Reports to: CEO.
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive food manufacturing leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of USDA, HACCP, and SQF.
Bilingual Spanish required.
Meat or poultry experience strongly preferred.
Salary and Benefits
$45.00–$50.00 per hour, (annually $95-104K) Medical and dental after 3 months. 401(k) after 6 months. Vacation.
