We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Machinist to join a rapidly growing precision manufacturer in the Big Bend, WI area supplying high-tech aerospace, defense, and medical markets.

Core Responsibilities (Daily Execution)
- Perform Independent Setups: Execute complete, independent machine setups and operations on multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers.
- Tooling & Offsets Management: Adjust tool page offsets, set up work fixtures, and replace cutting tools to maintain tight production tolerances.
- Precision Part Inspection: Inspect close-tolerance components using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and custom precision gauging.
- Technical Blueprint Execution: Read complex engineering blueprints and apply G&M codes alongside GD&T principles to ensure full part integrity.
- Troubleshoot & Optimize: Investigate and resolve mechanical or program-related deviations on 2nd shift to optimize cycle times and maintain smooth cell workflow.
- Maintain Cell Standards: Keep a clean, meticulously organized, safe, and 5S-compliant machining station.
Key Qualifications (Requirements)
- 2+ Years CNC Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional CNC machining experience with at least 1 year performing independent setups on CNC mills or lathes.
- Solid Technical Literacy: Demonstrated fluency reading blueprints, interpreting G&M codes, and applying GD&T fundamentals.
- Quality Focus: Proficient with precision hand measurement tools, custom gauges, and inspection equipment to verify close-tolerance part features.
- 2nd Shift Commitment: Lifestyle alignment and absolute readiness for a permanent 2nd shift block (Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM).
- Dependable Work History: Stable, dependable employment record showing reliability, strong attendance, and personal accountability.
- Location & Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card holder residing within daily driving distance of Big Bend, WI.
Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)
- High-Precision Sector Background: Prior experience machining tight-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, military, or medical device applications.
- Multi-Axis Setup Depth: Setup experience on 4/5-axis milling centers or live-tooling multi-spindle turning equipment.
